Named by her father (Kerel 'song'; -eli 'from God'), Kereli grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains, began singing in high school and church choirs, and continued in college under the direction of Dr. Thomas Davies. Kereli holds a Music Minor in Vocal Performance from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

After college Kereli attended the Speech Level Singing Institute in Los Angeles where she studied with Seth Riggs (author of Singing for the Stars) and attended master classes with James Ingram, Nancy Dussault and Peter Gallagher, among others. Back in the Bay Area, Kereli continued her vocal studies with Seth Riggs Associate Shelly Franklin and opera maestro Michel Singher. Artistic influences include Linda Eder, Renee Fleming and Ann Wilson.

Kereli has performed the National Anthem three times for the San Francisco Giants, five times for the Nike Women's Marathon, seven times for the San Francisco Triathlon at Treasure Island, six times for Avia's Wildflower Triathlon, twice for the San Francisco Triathlon at Alcatraz, once for Accenture's Escape from Alcatraz, once for the Pacific Grove Triathlon, once for the San Jose Chili Cook-off, and is the winner of the 2004 Cisco Idol competition.

Live performances include gigging with women's barbershop quartet Here Comes Treble, Christian rock band Hart & Soul, cover band DoubleShot, Top 40 band The Crew, Big band Mark Russo & the Classy Cats, rock band Bar-Nun, Big band Bob Russell & Society Swing, rock/party band Internal Affairs, pop/rock band South Bay Heat, and acoustic duo Meritage.

Studio recording credits include lead vocals for Vincent Flores (Love I've Been Waiting For), background vocals for Aron Ambrus (Innocent Love album), duet with Jeremiah Clauss (Crossing album), featured artist on VocalU vocal training CD and DVD, and background vocals for the Zentner Brothers album.

Theatre credits include being typed-in for the U.S. touring cast of Les Miserables, Angel City 4 Alto in City of Angels, Mary Flynn in Merrily We Roll Along, Woman 2 in The World Goes Round, Various Roles in Fresh Voices IV- Animal Opera, Irene Roth in Crazy For You, Vocal Director for Sound of Music, Rose Lennox in two productions of The Secret Garden, Antonia in Man of La Mancha, Ensemble member in My Fair Lady, Various roles in The Secret Garden at the historic Fox Theatre, Grace Farrell in two productions of Annie, and ensemble in two productions of Candide. In addition, Kereli is proud to be cast as Sarraghina in this summer's production of Nine at City Lights Theater in Downtown San Jose. Kereli's first album Gold was released in 2007. Kereli is a Mezzo-Soprano (low e natural to high E flat), currently performs in Northern California, and is available for studio recordings, demo recordings and live performances in any genre.
